Erica ( “Jonesy”) Jones is a Director, Storyboard Artist, and Annie-Nominated Writer for Animation.
Jones grew up on the south shore of Massachusetts ‘helping’ their family work cranberry bogs ( mostly imagining themselves bleeding out in dramatic battles, fishing in the reservoir, or flipping the occasional vehicle into a bog-ditch).
It was weekends in the city with their martial artist and DJ father, mixing techno tracks and putting on anime they were too young to watch, that fueled what some would later come to call “maladaptive daydreaming”
…Jonesy dreamed of making the kind of art that filled the old instruction manuals of their favorite videogames…
Instead, they attended CalArts for Character Animation
and have gone on to work for studios such as Cartoon Network, NETFLIX, DreamWorks, Titmouse and more.
Erica Jones excels in Board-Driven productions, Comedy Writing and Dramatic Storytelling.
Today Jonesy still loves to draw, spend time in nature, and fence longsword.
